Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

When I boot I get an item on the initial screen which stays on all screens after boot. How can I remove it?

I get a notification about volume control in the middle of the screen which is on all screens as I use the computer. It used to come after the boot and refers to my sound program in Windows 8.1. I learned how to stop it, but tried a few more things to try to understand it but found it in the Foxconn screen that appears when the power is turned on. How can I restore a clean Foxconn initial screen? My motherboard disk is ITL-177.

The volume buttons are probably stuck on. Try giving them some firm taps to see if they unstick, or go to Maplin and get some contact cleaner spray. Spray it on the buttons then press them repeatedly till they start to move. I had the same problem with one of my monitors.

SOURCE: Tecra M3 won't boot, hdd light comes on then off.

The hard disk can be installed in another computer, but it won't boot up and run unless the computer is the same make and model with the same devices as the previous computer.
If it is not then you need to do a fresh Windows install to get a working computer.
What you can do as an alternative is to install the hard drive in an USB hard drive adapter case and use it as an external USB hard drive.

Locate amount of battery lfe

Hi! I am going to give you a solution assuming you have Windows 7. If this is the case, you should right-click on the bottom right corner of your desktop (right-click on the time/date...), where the icon for volume control is located... and select Properties. You should then see a screen where you can choose to turn on or off the icons/notifications for battery power.Another option is: Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Notification Area Icons and will find it. Then turn on your battery power icon/notifications and you must be ok!

My icon for the battery power monitor has dissapeared from my taskbar can you help me get it back please

Do you have Windows 7? If so, you can right-click on the bottom right corner of your desktop (try right-clicking the time/date), where the icons for volume control, wireless, battery, etc... should be and select Properties. You should then see a screen where you can turn on/off the icons/notifications for battery power (sometimes my volume control disappears and i have to do this.
Otherwise you can go here, Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Notification Area Icons and you should find the same thing. Then just turn on your battery power icon/notifications.
Hope this helps.

The volume control on the desk-bar. Please help! Thank you,

Hi, 'right' click on the Taskbar, that's on the same level as the 'start menu button," select the Properties Icon, once the window open; click the Notification Area. "In the next window, there will be a "list" of items that can be viewed, and added to the "Quick Launch" list, when the computer boots-up! In the list is the Volume. Select the (check box), and the 'volume' will be present on the "Taskbar," you can do the same for other items; to be shown, or hidden. "Did this solution help? If so Helpful Ratings Feedback, is appreciated, thanks paul7of9"
