Question about Gaggia Coffe Deluxe Coffee Maker, Espresso Machine
Hi, switch on the middle coffee button then the coffee streams into the mug, is the water flow supposed to stop streaming into the mug on its own, or do I have to turn off the switch to stop the water flow? For example: Is there an automatic shut off or do I have to switch it off myself to stop the water flowing into the mug? If I don't witch it off myself, the espresso / water overflows over the top of the mug.

SOURCE: Coffee spurting everywhere!
Unlike the other person offering a solution I have experienced this problem like you when making the first cup. I found that sending a blank shot of water through first does the trick before putting the coffee grounds on. Hope this helps.

Try this press the button for ground coffee then when it lights up press the coffee brew button, if water flows normally then the grind on the grinder needs to be adjusted coarser, if no water then the screen on the brew unit is blocked.
