You have a small trace dust or error correction fluid (like Liquid Paper) allocated in the thin, rectangular piece of glass that seats to the left side of the scanning glass. Clean this small glass carefully and the problem should go away.

This problem is 99% of the time the photoconductor. Try removing and reseating. If this does not work, try another one. Even though you state that you just replaced it, on rare occasions, defective ones get shipped out. Usually the manufacture will replace the defective unit for you when this happens. Also make sure that the locking tab that holds the developer in place did not crack and therefore loose. I have seen this many times where the clip that holds the developer is damaged.

Calibrate your new blank ink cartridge, have some nozzle check, cleaning check, and printer alignment. This are procedure that new ink cartridge will have to calibrate before you use. Epson printer are very sensitive when capable of changing ink cartridge. Unlink HP directly work without any print test because the cartridge head and ink join together, Epson with ink cartridge and the head separate.
Have some test on it at Printer Maintenance.
I'm sure 100% works on it.

Silly daft me, never usually change the setting on the scanner, and didn`t know that having left a folder on top of the scanner the other day it must have nudged the setting and altered it.
Settings are quite tiny and it was dark and the room not very well lit where the printer is, so it was trial and elimination and only after pratically looking through a magnifying glass sorted it.
Alls ok now, thanks for asking.

Hi! As a first course of action I strongly suggest that you run cleaning on the printer properties. This may get rid of the black line. HOpe this helps and thank you for using FixYa!
