I am not familiar with MBT making a shimano shoe. I would suggest that you get of the second generation shoes that have a more stable rocker sole. It will be more agreeable to people who don't wear them as a matter of course and need to stand for time that they wear them.

a lot of shimano fasteners are the same.

with the thumb or finger PRESS the black clip you mentioned into the shoe against the ratchet strip underneath. as if closing a press stud. At the same tiime pull the shoe tongue and the ratches strip will come free.

see this video of other model with same fastner. see at point 1:35 onwards. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aL-_pFZKp2w

I hope this was useful.

Shimano alivio front derailleur doesn't shift from intermidiate chain ring to the smallest chain ring in a inclined riding

There is typically not a single cause or solution to a specific shifting problem. The most common way to resolve your problem is to let off a bit on pedal pressure as you shift. The derailleur has to move the chain sideways off the teeth, and that is more difficult when the chain is under high pressure.

Shimano CX200 mtb brake levers- can't seem to find locking screw to remove levee from handlebar.

This is from a different model but it's old school, too, so it probably applies to yours.

"The Shimano 200GS is held to the bar with a hidden screw like old ten-speed brake levers. Remove the cable. Squeeze the brake lever. Look for the head of a screw or bolt in the gap exposed by the open lever/perch."

Simple question: How do I release the buckle on my Shimano shoe? I just bought the shoes and can't figure it out. Thanks! Mike

Buckle? It looks like that model is just a shoe lace/velcro system. If you mean the clip (between the shoe and the bike) you twist your feet toe pointing into bike and heel away from bike, and push out laterally perpendicular to the bike.

Neither screw is for mis-shifts. Those are limit screws for the largest and smallest cogs. Tweaking the cable tension will usually bring in the indexing...

Can't fit the cleats to MO76 shoes. Instruction

assuming your using Shimano pedal cleats?

You should have on the bottom of the shoe 4 threaded holes showing.
(if not then you will need to check the shoe box as sometimes they need to be fitted)

The cleat should be placed directly on top of this... with the point facing towards the front of the shoe.
You then need to place the OO plate on top of the cleat and place the crews in making sure the cleat is positioned straight.

Once tightened then place the cleat on the pedal and make sure its position is correct and your shoe is sitting straight then re-tighten.

hope this helps.

Next is a brand sold by Walmart. Check www.socalmtb.com/messages/mtb/messages/2194.htm. They used Shimano parts but not what I would consider to be better quality Shimano parts. You might try Walmarts site itself and see if you can find anyone in customer service that can give you some info.
