Scanner stuck when turned on

When i trun on the printer... scanner got stuck the right side... and the printer can't print file.... sorry for bad grammar :(

SOURCE: my epson stylus C42UX printer cartridge is getting stuck

It sounds like the print head is jamming on the parking mechanism (usually because the actuation lever is stuck in the up position). Turn the printer on, and as soon as the print head moves, pull the power cord out of the back, or switch it off at the mains. You should now be able to move the print head over to the left by hand out of the way. Now look in the "parking bay" at the right hand end where the print head parks itself and see if there is a plastic arm sticking up. If there is, gently pull it towards you and it should spring down. Now turn the printer back on and it should operate normally. If it happens again, repeat the process a few times to see if it clears the problem. Otherwise it means the parking mechanism is gummed up with dried ink and needs a good clean (see below), or some other mechanism fault.

If you see that the whole parking mechanism itself has moved up to block the way, this means a spring has come off. To get this back on again requires the printer to be dismantled - as does the cleaning job above! If you want to have a go at doing this yourself, please report back for help on this.

There are quite some possiblities causing this problem:

1) The ribbon cartridge must be stuck in the inside causing a stuck up with the Timing belt gear mechanism. Remove the cartridge and try printing on plain paper.

2) One of the gears at the right and left of the belt is dislodged or dust must have accumulated casuing a jam.

3) The belt motor which is towards the right is dislodged sacrificing the tension that the belt needs.

Open the Printer from PRINTERS AND FAXES or DEVICES AND PRINTERS and double click on the icon and right click on each print job and press delete

How to access print queue

You can find the print queue going to Start-Settings-Printer and Faxes, Open printer and faxes by clicking and You will find the printers installed. Select your printer probably the one which has tick mark on it ( default printer) double click to open and see the files in queue. You can delete the queue if printing stucked.

Other way to delete the printing queue if not getting deleted from the above method is to go to start-.>run type "services.msc"
search for print spooler service in the rights side pane, right click the service and stop it. Now again go to Start->run type
"spool" and hit enter. It will open up folder for you, double click on PRINTER folder and delete all the files in that folder. This will clear up the queue from printer. After deleting all files, go to again follow the same process to start the print spooler service. Go to start->run-> type "Services.msc" hit enter, on the right side pane search for printer spooler service, right click and start the service.

My canon ip4300 is stating error B200 and flashing amber and green light at front. I cannot get to the printhead as it is stuck to the right hand side.

Turn off the machine, and unplug the power cord of the machine from the power supply. Then trun the Printer On again, if the problem is not resolved, please let us know.

Can I reset the printer head on my Brother DCP-310CN printer. I'm getting an error message "unable to clean" & the print head is stuck to the right of the machine.

Same problem ,head over to right side- stuck - spent an hour and decided to dump it ,time better spent getting new, thats it, sorry

My printer/scanner says that for some reason,

The ink is very caustic, it may have seeped out of the sump and ruined the print heads. No way to repair, sorry.

HP PSC 1410 will not print, printer icon is no longer on the bottom right hand corner of screen either. When i turn off the printer and turn it back on it prints the test page only.

Dear kappa, It is the problem related "Alignment of cartridge" your printer is working properly, I am suggesting a method, with the help of this method you will never get test page until you lift out your cartridge from your printer. When next time printer print a test page, take it and put it into the scanner, remember the printing area should be the side of mirror and the printer prints on the above side of the paper should be left side of the scanner. And press scan button, you will see the green light will be blink and a voice of scanner you will hear. After 30 seconds light will stop blinking, Next time when you will turn on your printer, it will not print test page.
