Laptops are not made to play games on, there graphic cards are not made for it. there are a few things you can try though.

Try running the games in windowed mode instead of full screen.
Try updating the video driver.
Try lowering the game resolution.

Hope this helps

Make sure your not tring to run the game in very high quality setting this will cause artifacting chose a lower quality setting and this should fix the problem. I would also update your graphics driver. go to www.nvidia.com to get the new driver just look up your card and your operating system download and install. Hope this helps.

GEFORCE FX 5500 video quality low, slow motion videos and games

well if your trying to game on a pc the 5500 isnt quite sufficient. If you dont know about nvidia you are about 5 generations back of days cards. So the card wont handle any of todays games. If your really trying to game i suggest you build/buy a new rig. But as far as playing videos, quality should be good. Try goin to nvidia.com and downloading the newest drivers.

Problem playing game tiger woods

It sounds like you are having graphics problems. Let me explain, if a game requires resources that your graphics processor has then it will run slow. Sometimes a game wont run at all. This is what it sounds like. To troubleshoot this go in game and change the video settings. Set them as low as you can and see if the game smooths out. You may also try making sure that you video drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can effect over all video performance. If worse comes to worse, do some research and find a video card that will best suit your budget and performance needs.

My vostro 200 on call of duty 4 runs slow !! I

try lowering the screen resolution in the game settings also ste the grphics quality to low then see if the game is running fast if it runs fine then increase the graphics options one by one like resolution , bilinear or anisotropic filtering , antialiasing etc
and i would also like to tell you one thing that if the graphics card was inbuilt in your laptop then don't expect it to play heavy games like this you will have to install a separate graphics card to play good quality games

Outdated driver update

Is 128 mb enough memory to play the game?

Here you go. ATI owns AMD these days:

http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

These drivers work as long as you purchased the graphics card as OEM and it wasn't packaged with a Dell computer.

Call Of Duty 4, Need SERIOUS help!!!!!!

Hmmm. The blue screen isnt a good think. Even though people say what kind of model a dell computer is, doesnt describe the processor, memmory modules...how much...speed etc.

You need to uninstall your graphics drivers.

Download ccleaner and drivercleaner. Do a scan with both. Do a full driver clean with driver cleaner because it clears the junk out of your registry. Make sure you do a reg backup with both programs.

Now you can restart your computer and install the latest drivers.

the x600 card is a little on the outdated side and can probly run the game on low to medium. Start with 800x600 resolution and turn aniostropic and antiliasing off. Turn everything off that you think is necessary, start the game, and see how it runs. Download fraps so you can see your fps. If you get about 60 than you can turn a setting up. If you get 30 or lower, turn your settings down.

I hope this helps. Please contact me if you need any further advies. I also want to say that you should have at least a gig of memroy and hopefully 2 gigs to play the game at good settings.

not a problem, slow display response, if the graphic card is "onboard" try to give him some more memory in the bios.
maybe you run too many aplications together - close open apps.
maybe you play a very high resolution demanding game - lower the resolution in game,
maybe you have very little RAM on computer (at least 512 MB) - buy more RAM,
maybe you have a virus or malaware that "eats" memory- run a complete check
