s are blocked or the solenoids do not activate, the symptoms may include no water, low water pressure, the wrong water temperature or water entering the tub even when the machine is off.
The water inlet valve can be identified by the water hoses connected to it at the back of the washer. Start by turning off the water supply at the valves on the wall. Disconnect both hoses from the back of the washer. Place the hoses into a bucket and turn them on to confirm that you are getting good water pressure and to clear out any debris from the line.
Inspect the filter screens on both the hoses and the inlet valve for debris build up. If you find any debris, clean it out. Use caution to avoid damaging the filter screens because the screens in the valve are not replaceable.
If debris was not present then proceed to the next step of testing the solenoids. Access to the valve may be easiest by opening the top or the back of the washer, depending upon make and model. There are two wires connected to each solenoid (aka coil) on the water inlet valve. Label the wires and connections so that you can properly reconnect them later. The wires are connected with slip-on connectors. Firmly pull the connectors off of the terminals (do not pull on the wire itself). You may need to use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the connectors. Inspect the connectors and the terminals for corrosion. If either is corroded they should be cleaned or replaced.

I have a LG WD-1018C washer that wont spin out .. it just keep starting and stopping in about 30 second intervals ... an error code has just come up ... 1E ...can you help please ? Steve

The IE or 1E error or fault code indicates that the washer is not filling with water. Check to be sure the water supply valves are open. Also, check to be sure the water supply hoses aren't kinked or clogged. Next, remove the hoses from the washing machine and run water into a bucket to test the pressure and flow of the water. If all of these check out and you have good water pressure and flow to the machine, you should replace the water inlet valve.

I have problem in my lg wd-80154tp i press play butten it off

This can be due to errors on the board or it can be related to fault in the inlet valve or control panel.
Check and see if there is moisture within the board or the panel that can cause errors , if so use a dryer to warm off.
If not the board is a suspect.

My washing machine had an error code of 1E, and now will not wash on any setting except the "quick wash" - and even then, occasionally the detergent will not go through. It is an LG front...

It is not 1E, but I.E which is "INLET ERROR", the inlet valve is not letting the water through, it does sound intermittent though, please check the following, if it does not solve your problem, the Inlet valve should be replaced (Which can be bought at any reputable Appliance Spares Shop)

- Is the tap open fully?
- Check the Inlet Hose, is it kinked in any way?

Hope this helps

I have an LG F1256QD machine that keeps stopping half way through the cycle with the message 1E displaying. I've lost the manual! Any idea how to solve the problem please?

1E = WATER INLET ERROR
• Correct water level (2 level) is not reached within 8 minutes after water is supplied or it does not reach the preset water level within 25 minutes.
Check to see that your water valves are open all the way. Check the strainer in the water hose for any buildup or blockage.
Here is the "Service Manual" for your machine.

Happy Holidays! Rick

Lg washer wm2277

The "1e" is actually a LE or Load Error. Search for it on this site and you will find many responses covering it. Some can be somewhat serious, but the most common cause is drag on the drum due to too much and / incorrect soap. Always use HE (high efficiency detergent) and no more than one tablespoon per load.
