Question about Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines
My dear neighbour asked me to have a look at her very old coffee grinder, from my inspection, it all appears to be fine, just trying a wild guess in replacing the motor start capacitor, but difficult to procure it, in small quantities, anyone can shed some light?

Cuisinart replaced the coffee maker. It was still under the 3 year warranty so Cuisinart told me to take it back to one of the stores that sells Cuisinart coffee makers because the store I bought it at was going out of business.

If you don't hear the grinder motor, I would say you have a disconnected grinder wire. These motors are DC so make sure that you connect it correctly or your grinder will run backwards.

I had a similar problem, and solved it by turning the grinder by hand against resistance. Apparently the grinder wasn't really turning during the cycle and needed to be cleared. If your beans are "hopping" this may be a different problem.

Testimonial: "Grinder is turning but old bean oil is clogging it. Stirring beans on next brewing after drying the grinder was also customer services recommendation"
Mine had the same problem ... all the lights are on, grinding works fine, but no heat on the plate, and no dripping of water.
After a weekend on the workbench, I mastered this machine. The KM7005 has 2 x MicroTemp G4 thermal cutoff (TCO) fuses which interrupt the Live line, for overheat protection. Mine didn't overheat per se, but the TCO blew anyway. Not reset-able ... need to be replaced with a soldering iron. To date, I have helped 13 people on this site fix this exact problem.
I'll be happy to advise you to fix this, or fix it for you. Write me at KM7005@flightsystems.biz.
