I have a Simpson Neptune stove 2U602W which needs new simmerstats.

If the connectors are in the same pattern, you can ignore the numbers and go by the position of the connectors, so top left on the old, would go to top left on the new.

You could ask the maker direct.

the cable to the element has more than likely been placed on the wrong terminal or the simmerstat is not working

Fisher and Paykel Paprika Oven Top Elements Full hot!!

No controller. The switch for each element (called a simmerstat) is what controls the heat. It is a common fault and will be fixed if you instal new simmerstat for each faulty element.

Stove elements gets way overheated is it just the elements that need changing or is it wiring?

Hi - the elements are ok - theres no need for that to be replaced - the simmerstat or as some retailers refer to as regulator needs to be replaced instead - **MUST GET A CERTIFIED -REGISTERED** to do this - consequences could be fatal.

I have a Simpson electric oven with stove top elements, and one of the burners will only cook at the highest level, I cant figure out how to change it, any suggestions?

You need to change the "Simmerstat", take the model number to your local electrical parts supplier/parts counter at your local stove retail shop that sells Simpson stoves and ask for one for that model, make sure you get the right one for the position as some control a single element and some control dual elements.

*** TURN OFF THE WALL SWITCH AND ENSURE NO POWER IS APPLIED TO THE STOVE BEFORE PROCEEDING ****
Remove the upper back panel of the stove. Swap wire for wire of the old simmerstat to the new one, remove the knob from the old Simmerstat, undo the nut securing the simmerstat in the oven control panel and discard, fit new one, secure, fit knob, fit back panel, turn on wall switch and test.

Some countrys/states require registered electricians perform this task on electrical appliances so you must ensure you can do this legally before you start and take the relevant safety precautions and don't electrocute yourself.

I am trying to replace a simmerstat in an old hotpoint cooker and have been supplied with an EGO 50 52076 070 as a universal replacement. The old simmerstat has terminals 'live' 'neutral' and 'load' - how...

I bought some of these simmerstats to refurb an industrial machine and faced the same issues - which terminals do what?
The parts came with a confusing wiring diagram, the terminal numbers didn't match.
The good news is that you can easily get inside this unit to see how it works without damaging it.
Release the metal front plate by gently lifting the tangs with a screwdriver then undrneath is a plastic shield which isn't glued in or anything, it just pulls out.
Here's what I found:
The bi-metal heater is connected between 2 and 4.
The bi-metal switch is between P1 and 2.
There is an auxiliary switch between 4 and P2 (P2 is the same metal strip as PILOT).
The auxiliary switch is closed when the control is 'not off'.
I also noted the short metal stub near 'TOP', in line with 2.
It is in fact the same metal strip as 2 so should be treated with respect i.e. it has mains voltage on it.
For my application, I wired:
Live in to P1
Neutral in to 4
Load powered from 2, returning to Neutral
Pilot Light from P1 to P2 (observe that the pilot wiring is a bit scary because it has a switched neutral).

Hi my Fisher & Paykel Paprika stove (Model FPRA6102AW) Needs a New Oven element, and 3 of the plates stay on Hot. Are these parts available and how much would they cost please: x1 Oven Element x3 Switch...

Yes the regulators/simmerstats are stuffed but are not hard to replace...but please turn off the power 1st when removeing the backing plate as you will kill yourself....yes you will.
Use a multimeter set on volts ac or a volt detector stick, test tester on a known live sourse 1st like a power point....switched on
