Doubtful, trace wires from speakers using test light, does new amp have coaxial connectors? you may have incompatible model, probably need to match amp with new head unit, worst case you can rewire speakers directly to amp, use new wires, leave old wires in place just cut ends and put tape over.
what u need to do is count how many wires are cut and will the wires reach eachother like do you need extra wiring to make up the differance all the wires are in colors like blue and red black and white 2 colors per wire some wires are a single colre ie blu blk rd yl match up youre wires to each other blu to blu red to red etc you will need **** connectors u can get at any automotive parts store or even walmart will have these u will need 1 **** connector per broken/cut wire all u do is strip the end of each wire about 3-8ths long slide one end into the **** connector and crimp that side then strip the other wire of the same color about3-8ths of an inch slide it in to the corresponding color **** connector
If you have a vise, put the end in to and you want to just squeeze it so you can get to the 2 tabs inside and using 2 flat blade screwdrivers, pry outward and the hose should come out of the cuff. Sometimes you can just cut and rewire, but watch and match colored wires to the right colors, mix them up and you would have a electrical mess. When you put it back together, push the cuff down until you hear it snap into place.
