SOURCE: 2wire 1800hg random no internet/random access, repair/wait fixes

It seems that you said your computer gets the ip address from your router,, which means thru DHCP of the router but if you look at the DHCP settings of your wireless card inside your computer ---the DHCP is OFF -- check your ipconfig/all command as shown in your problem too,,, your wless card does not accept the new IP which comes from your router --as DHCP is OFF on your wless card and sticks with the old ip address whereas the router maintains a new ip for your computer in its table and a mismatch occurs and you loose the internet connection ,,,,thats why repair works and then again the IP changes in the router for your computer and your computer's wless card lags behind and use the old ip adress ..... DHCP--- IS DYNAMIC , WHICH MEANS IT RENEWS THE IP address after some time and you computer gets stuck to the old one ,,, hence mismatch. "you make the DHCP -ON on your wless card too. it will be fine."

SOURCE: i can not load the wireless network adapter drivers

try to uninstall the drivers for the network adapter and reinstall them
First lets confirm your issue. Right click on “Computer” or “My Computer” in XP. Select Manage and then on the right side select device manager. On the left if you see a yellow exclamation mark next to your drive and were getting any of the above error codes then we have a simple fix.
Go ahead and right click on the CD or DVD drive that has a yellow exclamation mark next to it and select delete or remove.
For Vista click the windows “start” button on the bottom left and in the search box type regedit . You will be asked to confirm your admin account. Just hit next or continue.
Now browse to
It’s just like browsing through folders so don’t worry about it. if you get lost just start over. BE SURE you follow the path 100% There are many similar files and folders so double check they all match up.
Now that you are at the {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} Folder on the right side you will see several entries. right Click and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters. These will be remade once you reboot.
for XP follow the above but instead click the windows start button and then select run then type regedit .
Reboot your computer once you have removed the upper and lower fillters. When your computer boots back up it will see the drives as new devices. give it another 20-30 seconds to install the new device.

I Would guess, that windows is leaving the handeling of the wireless connection to the NETGEAR software, and therefor not registering the device ad connected.

Gateway dx4380g-uw308 keeps restarting?

Windows 8 has a neat utility that is called "Refresh Your PC". This process does not change any of your files (documents, pics, vids, music, etc.). If you upgraded your PC from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and your PC has a Windows 8 recovery partition, refreshing your PC will restore Windows 8. You'll need to upgrade to Windows 8.1 after the refresh has finished.

To refresh your PC

  1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)
  2. Tap or click Update and recovery, and then tap or click Recovery.
  3. Under Refresh your PC without affecting your files, tap or click Get started.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Gateway sx2110g

Do you have windows 7? If yes then you will have to contact the manufacturer to help you replace the 7 with 8! That is the biggest problem with 7 to 8, and even though you make it you will have troubles I know one guy who tried to do the same when I went to his home we could not recover even the 7, the message was that you have to consult the provider so that they can help you out!

I need a wireless adapter for SX2110G-UW308

Search for "SX2110G-UW308 specifications" and found this link:

It shows there are 2 expansion slots and 6 USB 2.0 ports available on this desktop PC (2 on the front, 4 in the back), it also shows that the Operating System is Windows 8. This desktop does not have wireless, so you are correct, you have to add wireless to this system.

Option 1:

If you have never opened up a PC then I recommend a USB wireless adapter that has a plug and play compatible with Windows 8 feature. They are inexpensive and you plug it in to any USB port and it will automatically install. You don't even have to shut down the computer. Click here for a list of USB wireless adapters. Read the reviews and select one that has a mainly positive reviews: Lots of choices. Choose one that supports WPA2 security, has a good range. Antennas will give you a better range, and stronger signal.

Option 2:

  • One (1) PCI Express x16 slot
  • One (1) PCI Express x1 slot
If you are comfortable opening up the case, then go ahead, before you buy a card, shut down, turn off the power, unplug the system, open the case and look for the PCI slots. There should be two of them. Make sure they are empty and available. See if there is an opening in the case next to the expansion slot for the wireless antennae to protrude out the back of the case. There are lots of PCI express wireless choices. Pick a card with WPA2 security, it should say plug and play with windows 8 as one of its features, pick one with good reviews and a good range:

Before you touch anything inside the case, double check that it is unplugged, touch the the case a few times to discharge any static, or wear a static discharge wrist strap. Plug in the PCI card firmly but gently, make sure it seats, make sure all the pins line up. Don't bend or break anything. Remove the metal or plastic slot cover on the case, close the case, plug it in, power on. It will also automatically install.
