Question about Samsung Refrigerators
Hi, all be it an old fridge it has served us well but has now started to freeze items in the main fridge. The only temperature setting knob I can see seems to be for the ice box only. So how can I control the fridge temperature on this model. Could any one supply a link for a instruction manual? Many thanks for any help in advance

Check the damper between the fridge and freezer. It may be broken or frozen open. If this happens and you have a water reservoir in the fridge then it could freeze and crack - leak and then flood your house... Shut off the water supply until you get the problem fixed.

the ice maker wont cycle untill the temp of the ice is around 10 degrees so if the freezer is at 15 or 20 due to some other malfunction then you will see the maker full of ice but it wont harvest and make another batch. so you could have a sensor bad, control malfunction, refrigeration issue, compressor, defrost system malfunction(you mentioned ice build up)

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.

Testimonial: "Thanks, I have checked that, but the vent at the bottom of the fridge section is a rigid plastic grill, which doesn't, nor looks like it should move. "
