The Acer Aspire 4738z uses an 'Intel Graphics Media Accelerator' on-board graphics chip, which means the graphics chip is soldered onto the motherboard. Unfortunately, these cannot be upgraded.

try installing synaptics touchpad driver included in the CD drivers.
