Tray doesnt open (by 4 users)

I have a DVD stuck in my ILO player and the tray wont open.
Any suggestions

problem one
my dvd player door gets stuck and i have to keep pushing the open button and then it opens after about 3 or 4 times. what can I do to stop this?

prolem two
the dvd player was making a rumling noise.

If it is getting old, I read somewhere the magnet thing inside gets too strong and doesnt release ( I KNOW THIS SOUNDS DUMB BUT IT WAS SOMEWHERE IN MY INTERNET SEARCHES) I did what they said and tapped the top as I pushed the open button and WOW it worked. Don't hit too hard and even if it opens, start shopping for a new recorder.

http://www.fixya.com/support/t208832-lite_lvc_9016g_dvd_drawer_not_open another type DVD recorder but may be the same fix.

I just had the same problem with mine and after a while it said baddisc than it would let me open it, just a suggestion I don't know if you have tried this or not...
