Hi.Is your sim card is OK ? Before you contact mobile repairing shop try to insert other sim card.Sometimes if the chip inside the sim card is damage the similar problem happened.Good luck.Thanks for visiting fixya
Hello ! there 2 place on this phone mother board can course this . 1, sim reader, some chips that are incharge of the sim reader.
If the sim reader ie slot as dry joint the sim cannot be red so needs checking if its welded well,
with a qualified technician he can change this chips near the sim reader
this happens due to some mis connections between the SIM's chip & phone's Circuit. Try to clean ur sim chip & ur phone where u plug in the sim with a cotton cloth with a little amount of after shave. If it works then its not a problem, still if it shows the same problem, i'll suggest u to contact Nokia Priority Care. They will fix it up. But before that try this..
you can purchase a "turbo universal sim unlock" chip on ebay for less than ten bucks, insert it in between you sim card and the phone sim contacts... it will allow you to use your sim in the new phone.
you mobile phone might be busted in this case. its a hardware problem so i suggest you visit any cellphone repairshop if you have that one in your vicinity.
