Question about Intuit QUICKEN 2014 DELUXE
I've tried the tip to re-install and then say that the program downloaded correctly but still get the same error message that Quicken 2014 isn't supported. Needs service pack 2 or newer - which I have!
One solution would be to run it pretending your Vista is XP. I have seen it done but as I have no Vista machine, I cannot tell you the steps. Search for running Vista in XP mode - once you have managed that, try installing the software.
The second solution would be to open a virtual machine on Vista and running that as an XP machine. Again, I have seen it done.
Try the links I have added below.
The problem I had was with Quickbooks, not Quicken, but the principle is the same and worth a try. Good luck.
Use XP Compatibility Mode in Windows Vista Win7 Vista Windows XP Compatibility Mode in Windows 7 and Vista
