a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Hard Drive Password Lock out
If you are able to locate either the jumper (JBAT1) terminal from pins 1-2 to pins 2-3 for a few seconds and then back to pins 1-2; or the cmos battery(remove for about 10 minutes) which will be on the motherboard although where is anyones guess, unless somebody does know, but i'm sorry i don't. Athough this may not open up the hardrive as sometimes there is a hidden file on some manufacturers hardrives that sometimes prevent formating.

SOURCE: i broke my asus eee
most of the times if laptop or Desktop cpu falls then HDD is the very first part to be damaged.
You can try any third party software as partition magic or DM for formating the drive.

I wouldn't quite yet. Here's a solution that should fix this...First, I'm assuming that the BIOS is recognizing the hard drive in the first place? The BIOS should have a utility option to "auto-detect" the hard drive. If it does, then you most likely have a corrupted MBR (Master Boot Record).
Here's my advise: Obtain a DOS-disc (windows 95 installation disc would do just fine) and once at the DOS command line at C: type the following command after the C
C: fixMBR (then hit enter)
this will move the MBR from sector 0 to the next available sector - 1.
Now install the windows installation disk that came with the computer and perform a "repair installation"
It will load all windows sys config files and boot files. It will seem as though you are totally reinstalling windows but you will not.
At first, you follow the simple onscreen prompts to install windows and when you get to the point of entering R for repair...you don't want that yet...continue with install. on the next screen you will see a prompt for a repair installation - this is what you're after. Do not format any partitions and you'll be fine. If you cannot locate a dos disk, here's a link to download one and burn on a CD:
Best of luck!

Try going into your CMOS by hitting a special key. Turn off password. My dell is F2. Call manufacturer also. Good luck. Vinny
