Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Teac Receiver lost AM and FM

Well, if your unit had that happen, it sounds like it is possible. ;)

I would imagine that the radio, like all the other inputs, is in itself a separate unit or circuit board. If something fails on it, it probably wouldn't harm other inputs or the actual amplification itself... just a guess on my but it makes sense. A repair shop could probably open up the case and visually inspect the tuner circuits to make sure there isn't a short or dead something somewhere.

If there is still sound in Jim's case, I would try a different antenna and/or make sure its hooked into the correct antenna hookup. if sound but antenna change doesnt help, it could still be an internal but maybe simply problem.

i'm no pro but that's my 2cents

SOURCE: Teac AG-V8060 Receiver No sound.

NEVER USE MAXIMUM VOLUME FOR TROUBLESHOOTING.

Turn the volume control to something medium.

The errant switch, control or condition may change and you will suddenly release the amp's full power and possibly destroying your speakers. If a signal isn't audible at 1/2 volume it's probably not there.

Carefully examine the front panel for clues like a misplaced Mute or Tape Monitor control or Multichannel Analog Input selected.

There is a good chance that a common control may have developed a high-resistance or 'dead' spot through defect or idleness and is causing your symptom. Turn the POWER OFF and operate every control throughout its range a number of times, especially rarely-used ones like Tape Monitors and the Mute control.

Turn the volume to something reasonable and see if that helped.

I got a teac ag-v8060 audio/video surround receiver and I'm tryin to hook up some surrounsound speakers along with a jbl g cinema sub can you describe where the wires go in the back of receiver? The sub...

On the back of the receiver, there could be "pre out-subwoofer". If your subwoofer has the same type cable input, that would indicate it is a powered(amplified) sub. Connect those two. If subwoofer only has red/black speaker inputs, it is a passive sub, which means spkr signal runs thru it and then to your main left and right spkrs.. Run your receiver main or front spkr left (red/black) and right (red/black) to those corresponding sub inputs, and then sub spkr outputs to each of your main left/right spkrs..

For surround, on the back of the receiver, there should be spkr outputs (red/black) noted as "rear".

Just make sure red to red, and black to black.

Hope this is helpful.
