SOURCE: i have a bosch 24cdi

if this occurs when the unit is in use for only hot water, there will be an internal leak in the secobndary heat exchanger, you will have to replace it. check first that the charging link has been removed when testing to ensure it is not passing.
if it happens when the heating is switched on then check the presure in the expansion vessel ( dump all presure from system and use a car foot pump with a gauge there should be 1 bar presure) that is the big red thing behind the pump, if water comes out of the test valve on the front of it when you try to test it or it wont hold the presure you will have to replace it (a nasty job you have to strip half the boiler) if you can pump it up make sure you release the presure in the system as you pump it or you will get a false reading

I had an issue with turning off the fill valve on my alpha boiler and the pressure went to 1.5 bar when cold and rises to 2.75 when the heating comes on is this ok.

You need to check with the boiler/system specifications to discover the correct pressure.

An overpressure condition should be dealt with by a safety valve that usually vents to the outside of the building - if it is working correctly. There have been incidents of this external vent freezing causing dangerous pressure to build in the system. I understand a modification is simple and inexpensive but I don't know any details.

Our pressurised system runs at about 2.5 bar hot, or at least it used to do when it was younger...

I have a worcester 28cdi combi boiler. The pressure keeps going up yo 3 bar when the heating is on, and venting of via the pressure valve. When the boiler cools down the pressure drops to zero, and I have...

Your boiler has an expansion vessel that is like a bladder full of air. Yours has lost it's air pressure. Check your manual for this vessel and where the valve is to re-inflate it and what pressure to inflate to. It should have a simple tyre valve, pump it back up (usually to about 1 bar after releasing the water pressure) and should be all fixed. If you can't re-inflate the bladder is holed and the expansion vessel will need replacing.

Pressure relief valve - replace
The internal seal gets bunged up with dirt & scale and then leaks water [pressure] to that outside pipe
To avoid draining the whole system, turn off the two central heating taps on the 3/4 pipes and then operate the valve manually and / or disconnect - only a small amount of water will escape / drip to below the boiler
Replace valve and fill as before.
If you think your system needs flushing out - now is a good time
Turn off mains electricity to boiler before starting work

Alpha H CB33 boiler A and B lights flashing won't start what do i do?

if the pressure gauge is showing below the green mark you need to top up the pressure by connecting the small flexi pipe underneath the boiler then turn the 2 blue taps located either end (slowly though) this will re pressurise the system and it should fire up straight away, hope this helps. KEEP AN EYE ON THE GAUGE THOUGH dont let it go to far above the green bar.
