Question about HP Laserjet P3015X Printer
I've got two different model printers with the exact same issue. These are the Laserjet P3015 and P4015. The problem is as follows... If I print a single page (like a supplies status page) it will print a blank page. From Tray 1, if I try to print 2+ pages (like a configuration page) all of the pages will be blank. From Tray 2, if I try to print 2+ pages (like a configuration page) it will jam with error 13.05.00 and all of the pages will be blank. Swapping the toner cartridges does not change the problem. An Engine Test will print a blank page. A Half Self Test shows no image on the drum. On the P4015 I swapped the DC Controller, it did not change the problem. I'm extremely puzzled as to what is causing this issue. Blank pages and a jamming issue? I'm beginning to wonder if I'm missing a problem in the gear train or with one of the motors. Has anyone else seen this problem before and can offer some insight in how to fix it?

SOURCE: Blank print out
This is laser scanner error message. The document is not being read from the data being sent. This could be a loose or damaged cable or bad scanner assembly. You can open it up and look for loose cables or connections to the board but otherwise if the scanner assembly is bad, it may require replacement. This should only be accomplished by a service professional as it is not a user serviceable problem.

Hi, There are 3 things that can cause blank pages. The most common is the laser shutter pops off on the spring side and blocks the laser from hitting the cartridge. The shutter opens when the cartridge is inserted. The cartridge guide that sits above and behind the cartridge misteriously gets eaten by the printer. Without it, the cartridge rides too high for the toner to transfer. The high voltage power supply goes totally dead. If the first 2 are ok, then replace the high voltage power supply. (There are 2 power supplies in the printer. One the low voltage power supply supplies voltage to all the boards, fans, etc. The high voltage ps only supplies voltage to the toner cartridge.)PS-The laser/scanner shutter is found under the top cover and below and by the front of the laser/scanner assembly (black box). Control of the shutter is on the left side of the laser/scanner. Good luck

Re you using genuine HP NEW cartridges? If not, you must make sure that whoever has re manufactured the ones you are using has replaced the chip on the cartridge. This tells the machine how many copies are on the cartridge.

I've had this problem too. I believe it's the post that holds the drive gears wears or becomes loose causing timing problems.. Unfortunately there's no spare parts available for the optional tray. You would have to purchase a whole optional tray.
