won't connect to internet, says local access only, internet provider says everything is alright on their end, need to talk to acer. Been working fine and just quit.

Disconnect your modem/router for 5min then try agian.
If this don't fix it, try locating other wifi (your using wifi right?) hotspots. If you can connect then its your settings on your notebook (since you said its not your ISP.
Delete your internet connection and manually redo it. It could just be some internet settings that were changed.
Need more info on what interenet type your using.
