How to remove valve seals 350 motor /1978

Turn crank so both valves are closed. Then apply air to the cylinder thru the spark plug hole so the valve won't drop onto the piston when you take the spring off.

I just bought a bissel pro heat 2x used and i cant get the water to come out after it is on

Hello There,
There are a number of things that cold cause no water is coming out.
-Fill up the clear water bladder, lift up and push the valve underneath to release some water (it should drip)
-place the water container on the carpet cleaner and make sure it sits properly. If you lift up the container it should see some water in the deep part of the base plate (where the valve is on the bottom of the container)
-turn on the the carpet cleaner (the vacuum motor should spinning) and push the spray button(check if water shows up)
-if not, listen to the for the sound of the pump motor (unfortunately the vacuum motor is already running so the noise level is high)
-if you can't tell, you need to open the base plate 9disconnect the power first) by removing the tank and unscrew the Phillips screws all around the base plate. When you lift it up carefully you will see a small 12 Volt DC motor, this is the pump. The motor have to receive 12 V to turn on. If the motor is running (checking the sound, measuring the voltage to it) the problem is the tubes are plugged. It can be anywhere from the nozzles, the filter on the base plate, the heater (if the bottom plate is lifted up it is easy to see). The heater is made by two pieces, removing the screws it can be opened up and cleaned.
If the motor is not running (no power to it, it can be the bridge rectifier or the 3.15 A fuse (embedded in the cable harness)

Good luck!

What do the symbols and dial settings mean on the electrolux diplomat lx

Symbols..Question mark means "Put a bag in me", checkered light means : "Change me, I'm dirty"....pre-lit power light means: "You have Powaaa" to the unit and the thermostat light means the motor is too hot if it comes on, (most likely from a hose clog) and needs to cool down before the motor will run again. The settings on the control valve basically have to do with the auto shutoff when the bag needs changed. The lower the valve is turned, the more full the bag will get until it shuts off. Hope that helps!

Water will not spray on my Bissell Proheat 2x Carpet cleaner

proheat 9300

assuming the water will flow with the tool attachement but not to the carpet.

Remove the water tank. You will see 2 red tabbed plastic spray tubes.(where the spray comes out if not clogged) Pinch the clips to remove from the machine. Then you will need to pinch the hose clips to remove the red tabs from the hose. Clean out those red spray nozzles. Next step: have a towel ready and fill the solution tank with water. Put the solution (not water) tank on to where the water tank would go. Place the machine selection knob to rinse/wet only. Now with towel under the hoses that you removed the red tabs. Turn on the machine and pull the trigger to activate the water. You should see water flow out of the hoses that had the red tabs on them. If not, release and pull again the trigger several times. If only 1 hose has water coming out of it then block the one that works and try the process above again to de clog the one that isn't working. Good luck.

I just bought a Tfal Ultimate Autoclean iron FV 9450. I am reading through the manual and trying to figure out all the parts and functions. I cannot figure out how to remove the anti calc valve. I...

Anti-calc valve wings (grip) located at #3 of the 1-15 labeled description diagram that is part of the instruction manual. The wings are on either side of the dry/steam control #4. Lift up on the wings (grips) and the dry/steam control will accompany it. The anti-calc valve is under this control. It's easy once you realize where the silly thing is actually located.

My hot water heater won't engage at all.

Sounds like the pilot light is not staying lit, provided you have one. The pilot light is used to keep the gas valve open by way of the thermocouple/switch. When the pilot light goes out the thermocouple cools down and shuts the supply of gas off to the water heater burner. It is not unusual for a thermocouple to go bad at which point it needs to be replaced. The thermocouple is the small rod that sits in or close to the pilot light flame. There is a small copper tube that runs from it up to the gas valve on the outside of the tank. This is where you control the temperature of the water as well as light the pilot light. If you are not experienced in dealing with hot water heater gas supplies, you should get professional help.

Bissell pro heat - belts are ok. water will not

Remove the handle, disassemble the lower section of the top to get to the heater. Make sure the unit is unplugged! Use miniature bottle brushes like the painters use to clean paint sprayers (I purchased mine from Harbor Freight for about $4) and clean out the ports. Also check the valve that the trigger opens. It is located just above the heater.

Vacum keeps turning off with warning lights

Actually the problem is that you need to change your control valve. The motor has an internal thermostat on it already so the chances of you burning the motor out are very slim. By changing the control valve, you will solve your problem. Very simple and quick fix.

I have a Bissell Proheat 2X Carpet/Upholstery cleaner and I can't get the soap and water to come out of the attatchment. The vacuum part is working, but the spray isn't. I can see the fluid is trying to go...

Hello,

I have a Bissell "Little Green" cleaning machine that acted like yours. I found several clogs in the fluid system. The power for the fluid in my unit is provided by a small AC motor independent from the vacuum motor attached to a small plastic pump. This pump then fed into the input of the heater. Inside the heater is a sort-of mirror-image, redundant labyrinth that the fluid passes through before it exits. My heater was completely blocked on both sides, and exhibited signs of corrosion. My choice was to disable the heater and to instead hook its output line straight to the pump. I also found clogs in the fluid line, particularly where there were bends. One of the clogs was where the vacuum and fluid line made a right angle turn out of the base of the machine. The other was in the trigger handle itself in a jog of the small line that connects the valve to the spray nozzle connector.

I would suggest examining the trigger handle first. The only thing to watch for is the position of a small flat metal spring with a square hole in the center that lives between the trigger and the valve (which is also sprung).

I made good use of some slightly smaller standard aquarium air line so I could blow water and air through without having to actually taste the internal lines of the machine.

My new resolution is to run clean water through the fluid system before putting it to bed!
