I'm having a problem with my Nokia 3500c phone.

Nokia 6600 keypad/key problem! I hope I've put this in the right section, as I'm not sure if this is a hardware of software problem I've posted it here, hope I'm right!

I bought a Nokia 6600 recently with a joystick that didn't go down. I replaced the keypad pcb, as there was a small tear in the ribbon at the bottom of the old keypad PCB. This fixed the joystick problem, but I now realise there is another problem with the phone!

The numbers 7,8, and 9 all display 1,2, and 3 when you press them. The '0' key seems to clear whatever's on the screen, so I suspect it's acting like the red end call key. It does this with both keypad PCBs installed, so I think it's another problem. Would this be the small gold contacts on the bottom of the phone, a software problem, or some other gremlin in the works?

I've had a quick search and someone suggested *#7370# to reset the phone, and someone else said it could be a keypad IC that's gone - any other suggestions? I'm at work tonight so can't get to the phone until tomorrow morning, and as the '0' key isn't working properly I can't check which software version the phone is running

To change the date on your Nokia N Series or E Series, follow these instructions:
* Click on the Menu button, highlight Tools and click the centre selection key (the ‘OK’ key)
* Highlight Settings and click the OK key
* Highlight General and click the OK key
* Highlight Date and time and click the OK key
* Highlight the date and click the OK key
* Use the Right Navigation key to highlight the year. To change the year back one year, press the Down navigation key once.
* Press the Red “End” key to return to standby mode.

The Navigation key set can be changed, it will cost around Rs.250.... Just take it to a mobile repair shop and ask them to change the key navigation board. It is very simple, even you can buy the spare and change it yourself... But the music keys I'm Not sure they will work or not, because it is a well known complaint in Music series of Nokia and nothing can be done properly(so don waste time in spending money for music keys)...

Not a problem friend. Just be patience. 1. Just press you end button(i.e your red button) 2. to check weather key pad unlock or not for that just dial any number and press call button, if success then press red button. 3. press menu button, and take the help of your manual book which comes with your phone. 4. see where exact the contact option is and go to that using your navigation key and press ok button (it all will be in imagination as your screen not showing any things)
5. using your navigation key come down to option copy contact, and do the same as manual book show hope it will work for you. As it a hectic job but sure it will help you out.

the most common problem in nokia 2600c and 2630 is keypad { navigator keys not working } while u alredy replaced key pad ic,here is final solution ,just chk tracks as given pic ,if not solve just reball cpu ,100% ,solution for navigator keys{ menu keys}

Press the right navigation key after answering the call to raise the volume and press the left navigation key to lower it. The navigation keys are the ones you use to scroll up, down, left and right.

I have the same problem but rather than redo the whole text I use the other buttons to navigate to the problem word then use the right button to go to the end of that word and redo that word only. if you are to far right to simply move up before the problem word then press right once to leave a space after the last word, then press down, this will take you to the left side of the screen, use the up key to take you to the line with the problem word. Then navigate right to the end of the problem word and use cancel to erase the word and simple retype navigate back to the end of the text and finish the text;o)

you might have password protected ur MMC try removing it and then work with it hope it might work for u
