a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

You need to select setup from the TV menu then switch the Viera link on. I think retuning must have switched it off.
This worked for me

You need to (either or both) change from Shop setting to Home, and turn off Viera Link demo.
Go into the menu, choose set up and re set to shipping settings.

You need to connect the tv on the network, press the green button on the remote, follow the instructions and the code will appear on the screen. But only few models of selected countries of these tv's have the Media Center Extender capability - if the tv that you bought doesn't have the Green button then you can't pair it up with your pc. In that case you will have to connect it to a router and configure it just like another pc - not directly to your pc.

you need a VGA adapter (connect to laptop) to Mini D-sub 15-pin x 1 (side) so this will plug into TV.. you can use a mini cable (again for laptop to TV) for audio.... once connected go to laptop display Intel graphics to split the video signal between laptop/TV or just TV... note the laptop will go blank if you don't want it split....and the TV will go blank if it do not seek a signal from the laptop..(just preparing you ... this is normal).. if this do happen unplug the adapter for 5-10 seconds from TV... now you can look at movies, photos and even have your spreadsheets on a larger screen..

SOURCE: How do I connect my
If you have a set top box (blu-ray, dvd, cable) with HDMI Out, then you need a pair of HDMI cables. Connect one from the HDMI Out of the set top box to the HDMI In of the sound bar. Then connect the HDMI Out of the sound bar to the HDMI In of the TV.
If you only want to use the sound bar as an external speaker system for the TV, then you should get a digital audio cable (fiber optic cable). Connect this to the Digital Audio Out on the TV (below HDMI ports) and to the Digital Audio In of the sound bar.
I hope this helps. You can find the manual of the TV here: http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Televisions/Plasma-TVs/model.TH-42PX75U . The TV also has analog (RCA) audio out jacks labeled Prog Out on the bottom left of the connection panel; the sound bar however doesn't have RCA audio in jacks.
(since there are no HDMI out jacks on the TV, there is no other way to connect the sound bar.)
