SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: can't send a fax

Do you have a DSL connection to the Internet? If you do and you don't have the line filter on the cord going to the 6210, it won't be able to dial out.

SOURCE: xerox phaser 3200mfp We are able

Get a older phone and hook it up. Try to call that number and see if you get though. My guess would be this is a prefix error (not putting a 1 in front of the area code, ect.)

SOURCE: We cannot receive faxes. Gives a busy signal.

Unplug the phone line from the machine. Wait a few minutes then try calling your fax number from a phone while leaving the phone line disconnected from the machine. If it rings fine from the phone, then re-install the phone line to the fax machine. Try making the call again. If you now get a busy signal then the modem in your fax machine has gone bad and is holding the line open. Make sure when installing the phone line you are placing the cord into the "line" port on the machine and not the phone port.
Good Luck and thank you for using Fixya.

"poor line condition'

Very often this is caused by either the sender or receiver having VOIP phone service. Check this and if this is the case you need to set the baud rate to 9600.

Hope this helps!

Brother mfc-420cn - fx problem

From the manual for your Brother model: To select or change your Receive mode 1. If it is not illuminated in green, press "Fax" (picture of Fax button) 2. Press - "Menu/Set, 0, 1." 3. Press - (up arrow) or (down arrow) to select "Fax Only". 4. Press - "Stop/Exit." This is just to select the "Fax Only" option, which is what you need - having a phone line strictly for the fax machine. There are 4 options on that setting, and the manual explains them in more detail. You can also set the "Ring Delay" for the fax by pressing "Menu/Set, 2, 1, 1." The options shown are "0, 1, 2, 3, or 4". It's very likely that you want to select an option OTHER than "0". This Brother manual for your model can be found at this URL: --> http://www.retrevo.com/search/fv/1d4caef84f3754461d7ce187341b923c.pdf#page=1 Hope this helps! If not, let us know and we'll try to help further. ;)

Receiving Faxes

Can you receive a voice call on the same line? Call the machine with your cell phone and see if it rings and you can hear your voice on the fax receiver. Use your manual to check the settings.
