SOURCE: craftsman garage door keypad

The blinking on your keypad simply means that a code of some sort was sent. Whether it be the right on or not. Lets try to reprogram the unit. Press the colored learn button on the motor head and then within 30 seconds enter in the 4 digit code followed by the up/down action button. The light bulb should flash to let you know it has been accepted. Wait 5 minutes and try. If it does not work replace the keypad.

It sounds like the keypad is not compatible with the main garage door. Make sure the keypad is the correct only for that model number opener. Older models will not work with newer openers and vice versa.

How to reset garage door opener pad without old acess number

A Stanley garage door keypad is wall-mounted, battery-operated device that allows you to open your home's garage door electronically without having to manually lift the door or use a pull chain. The keypad uses a four-digit access code that you program after the keypad is initially installed. You can change the code, disable the keypad manually by entering a invalid code and reset the keypad if the device is not working properly. After you reset your Stanley garage door keypad, the device is ready to accept a new access code.

I have a sears garage door opener with an keypad. When the weather gets cold, below freezing, the keypad does not work. I have tried changing the battery. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you may have electrical breaks on the circuit board.

You could get a magnifier and look on the board to find any small cracks and perhaps get them soldered back together.

But it might just be cheaper to get a new keypad and program it to your garage door.

Good luck and be safe.

My garage door only opens partly during cold temperatures.

interesting, Have you pulled the string and tried to open it manually? If so is it hard to open, If so something could be freezing int there, such as the grease (Although Highly Unlikely) If its easy to open, its something with the opener its self, I would call the manufacturer, have them look at it.
