No, you can should not due to the enamel that coats the inside of the tea pot. It heats at a different rate and can crack.

Looking for dist firing order for 1967 430 plus a vacuum diagram and what side of coil does dist wire go on?

The firing order is, 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2
Odd and even numbered cylinder banks. driver side bank, front to back, 1 3 5 7
passenger side bank, front to back, 2 4 6 8
Dist rotor rotation, clock wise.
If you put number one cylinder on tdc of compression stroke, then whichever sparkplug tower the rotor is leading into, in the proper direction is number one. Then you follow the firing order in proper direction around the cap.

What is the firing order for a 1986 buick regal 305 engine

The firing order is the same, 18436572
But, depending on who made the engine, the firing order may go cw or ccw around the cap. You need to check which way the rotor turns when you crank it, then follow the firing order in that direction. Sometimes the number 1 spark plug tower is marked on the cap, if not, put the number one cylinder on top dead center of compression stroke, which ever coil tower the rotor is leading into is number one, then follow the firing order in correct direction of rotation. You driver side cylinder bank should be numbered, 1357 from front to back, passenger side 2468, front to back.
If you replace plugs and plug wires, one at a time, you won't have this problem. Goodluck.

Lost power then came to stop then backfired.restarts for only few seconds then backfires at intake

Did you change the distributor? Could have put it back in the wrong direction or forward too much on the timing notch or put too plug wires on the wrong post..... It definitely sounds like a timing issue and the back fire sounds like the plug is firing the cylinder on the intake stroke.... if you keep at it you will blow your muffler off or start a fire. Look up the firing sequence for your year and make of car to be sure

Distributor cap firing sequence

Set the crankshaft so number one piston is about to fire and the distributor rotor arm will be pointing to the number one distributor cap segment - connect the number one spark plug lead to this.

Note the direction of distributor rotation and each lead in the firing order should be connected to each segment in that direction...

I have just completed a tune up on my 1998 Ford Expedition 4.6 L V8 and the truck is backfiring and I can nor find the problem. I have the feeling that I crossed a wire and I cant figure out which on. ...

it definitely sounds like that you have a wire ,or wires crossed on the distributor cap, the firing order should be on the intake manifold, the best way to see what the direction of fire is , is to remove the distributor cap, and have someone crank over the engine, to see what direction the rotor is turning, then after cap is put back on, look for the #1 firing position on the cap, this will be # 1 plug wire, then you will have to continue onward following in the direction that the rotor turned, on the cap, following the firing order, 1 plug wire at a time.

if you want to put plug wire from distrobutor to the plugs first check on the distrobutor cover if you can see mark like number one if you see that that is the first cylinder ok next you must know ather remove the distrobutor cover try to start the engine have look the direction which is rotor moving so when you find the direction you start following the direction put the disrobutor cover and follow the direction from one 1342.

no big deal people do it all the time - drain the oil out best you can then put some gas in and shake the saw to mix it up . now drain that fuel and put in fresh - if the saw doesnt fire up you may need to remove spark plug and crank over to remove any oil if it got into the cyl - try to start again - if still wont fire up remove air cleaner and put some fuel directly into carb . I use a pump type oil can to put fuel in carb - once it fires keep it running on high till it stops smoking then reassemble air cleaner - this should solve your prob . keep me informed enginedoc
