Question about Refrigerators
Freezer works but everything in it is starting to frost over. What is the problem. Seal is closed so it's not due to being left open. Not sure if this unit is frost free or not. Thanks
If the defrost drain is blocked and water cannot exit the fridge during automatic defrost it will cause this to happen. Also if the ice dispenser door is stuck open it wall also cause the same problem. Thanks John Tripp Appliance 911

SOURCE: refridgerator freezer GE
Frost is due to outside air leaking into unit. Check on back wall to see if hole for ice maker fill tube is still plugged. If not and you have no ice maker cover hole with tape. Also look for water or ice build up in bottom of freezer or ref. sections. May have a plugged drain. Let me know what you find.

Air intake has water in it (vapour) better if you higher altitude away from sea level.as the freezer gets cold it sucjks in warm air as a thermodynamic equilibrium mechanism. Only fix...get NEW seals or new door with new seals. Try thick silicone grease in a tube for cheap messy fix and rub it over the magnetic seals. dont use vasaaline, thats for gays.

SOURCE: Loud Freezer Motor noise
I don't usually buy the service plan but I did for this unit (hey it's gen 1). The service guy said he has seen this problem quite a bit and that LG created a new RCM board to fix it (part# BBR34917104). Apparently the OEM board didn't detect the ice build up on the fan motor very well. I had the new board installed two days ago and defrosted the freezer. So far so good, I'll post again if I have any further issues.
