I have a GE 50 pint humidifier model # AHW50LM and even though I set the humidity level to 70%, the fan keeps running. I can't tell if the condenser is running but the fan certainly is. Is there something wrong with the unit?
RH at 70 % seems to me a little excessive you really should be working somewhere around 50 to 56% the fan has to move Air through the system.
I would like to know your room Air temp what is the Air temp comming off the system. what are your parameters.

Just switched on after a year of not using. Water dripping from small pipe at bottom of appliance. No water whatsoever going into the water tank. Have looked at obvious things, but there don't seem to be any blockages or anything to cause this. Many thanks

I have a GE AHK40LKG1 dehumidifier that is two years old. The fan and display come on, but the compressor will not run. It will start and runf for approx 30 seconds and then shut down, this process just keeps repeating. Any ideas. I do not think it is the capacitor or the compressor but rather the circuit board or the capacitor motor (I do not know how to trouble shoot these items)
