Well my guess would be your speakers are powered by an amplifier instead of your stereo meaning you need rcas from the back of your deck to the amplifier If that's not the case then maybe you didn't connect the wiring harness properly or you have something inside your stereo set to mute

I have a 2012 raptor toy hauler with a sony multi disc player [MEX-DV2200] and the radio has quit working. It turns on but won't receive any stations. Everything else works fine. Any ideas?

Have you been able to check your connections from the unit to the antenna? If it was working before and then just quit I would start there first, a loose connection or frayed coaxial cable could be your problem, also if the antenna has moved it could be improperly grounded now and unable to receive also, you'll need to check the mounting of the antenna to make sure that it has come lose or built up corrsion. Roughly 80-90% of all radio problems/solutions are antenna/cable/connections based and rarely the radio itself.

My mex-bt5700u only plays sound while I have the source set to tuner. Why am I not getting sound when I change the source to anything else...ipod, bluetooth audio, bluetooth phone, cd....interestingly...

What make/model of car? I'm pretty sure that it is because your car has a factory amp that is powered by the factory radio. You will probably need a signal inverter and wiring harness or to splice into the wire; powering the factory amp and sending the signal to your radio.

How to make Bluetooth discoverable

I have this radio also, and it took me a minute to get it to work. If I remember correctly, there is a button on the top left of the face that says BT. Press and hold this for about 5 seconds, and it should activate the internal Bluetooth. Not sure if I am right or remember all the steps, so here is the manual as well:

Sony MEX-1GP getting warm

It's common for head units to run extremely hot when driving all 4 channels from the internal amplifier. If you can get some air flowing over the heatsink, it will help greatly. The smallest fan you can find will move enough air to reduce the temperature significantly (assuming it's placed where it can be effective).

A better option would be to use an external amplifier.
