Problem for Emerson Quiet Kool 10GV13 Air Conditioner
Emerson Quiet Kool A/C Filter
I have a window Emerson Quiet Kool A/C - I don't know the model but it's around 10-15 years old. It needs a new filter as spongy pieces have started to come out when the A/C is turned on. I need to find a replacement filter but don't know if they are still available. The size is 19" x 10-1/2". Any help?

- While searching for a filter online I found a "vintage" ad for my air conditioner from 1971. Mine is a "Signature 2000" by Emerson but the filter has crumbled into tiny pieces and my landlord won't help.- 8plus3

- All I could find at Home Depot (after an hour of searching and enquiring) was a much thicker foam filter designed for window units. I'm trying it.- GuestBest Solution

YOU CAN GET THE FILTER MATERIAL FROM ANY HOME DEPOT OR LOWES AND CUT IT TO FIT YOURSELF. JUST BRING A SAMPLE OF THE MATERIAL WITH YOU AND GIVE IT TO THE SALES ASSOCIATE

you can go down to your nearest aircon service outlet and purchase universal filter material or to you hobbiest shop or material shop and get some white jakket stuffing.cut to size,blow out the evaporator and install the material with two pieces of double sidded tape..
