Question about Dryers
I will list the most common reasons, starting with the most to the least common.
1) The heating element has failed, and must be replaced.
2) A thermostat or a fuse has failed, and needs to be replaced. You should completely clean all the ductwork inside the machine of lint, or just replacing the fuse or thermostat will not work for long at all.
3) A wire has burned in two, often near the heating element or the panel where the electric cord is attached to the back of the machine.
