Best thing to do is have both your model number and serial number with you when you order or buy the heating coil. If you are buying from a store they should be able to look it up and make sure it is the right one. Most online places you have to put in your model number and then they will bring up a diagram of your unit and a list of parts and then you just scroll down and find the part you need.

Replaced:plugs, wiresdistributor, fuel pump.truck wouldn't start before but now it starts but i am getting po135,po141,po147.po300 codes

P0135 means 0xygen heater circuit malfunction, P0141 mean 02 heater circuit bank1 sensor 2 (this is catalytic monitor) P0147 means 02 heater sensor circuit bank 1 sensor 3, P0300 is random misfire. You will get all the 02 code because of the misfire correct the misfire and the 02 should correct. We will start with the plug wire and make sure the firing order is correct 1996 chevy blazer that will make it a 4.3 engine size check the firing order firing order is 165432 also check the coil (it has a tendency to short you will know if it is) cansmo_181.gifcansmo_182.gifmake sure the distributor rotation is check

I have a Kenmore model# 253.73754300. The problem I'm having is the freezer works but when it goes into the heater/defrost mode, it won't shut off the heater . The freezer compartment will get completely...

It sounds like the Termination Thermostat is bad , it's job is to turn off the defrost elements. You can get to it from the front inside the freezer. It's a small disk about the size of a quarter and about one inch tall. It will be attached to the evaporator coils. Be careful when taking it out not to damage the coils.Take it with you the parts store so that you get the right replacement.Be sure to unplug the refrig. before starting!!!!!

I have a miss fire code on 1 and 4. They are saying that the coil pack is bad. How hard is it to change.

not bad. it may help to let us know what year, make, model, and engine size you have. I would recommend replacing the spark plugs, wires and coil pack.

04' Ram 1500, bad mis-fire. cust repl s/plugs. no help. Codes for coils #7 & 8 w/mis-fire. replaced coils & wire set. Better, but still P0300. Compression good

You still have random misfires (PO300)
You most likely replaced those coils that set a code, and those were not the one bad offender, spiking the computer module.
Take a new coil and put in a cylinder,no change, replace old coil and move new one to next cylinder. You can do that once or twice a day, if you have nothing else to do. You need a 90 degree day, to really get that solved, unless you have an ignition oscilloscope.
Never had a bad spark plug in 45 years.

Need to replace heater raidator under dash.anyone done one

The heater "coil" almost always requires removal of the entire dashboard and it's not much fun. You shouldn't even think about it without at least a Chilton's (or other) manual unless you're pretty used to disassembling and reassembling complex components. If it's leaking antifreeze, you can bypass the heater for now (brrrr) by splicing the heater coil's inlet and outlet hoses together. In the engine compartment look for two hoses, same sized, that are leading into your firewall. They'll be right next to each other, usually one above, rather than beside the other. They'll be the only hoses with anti freeze that attach to the firewall. Pull both hoses from the firewall and insert a splice, connecting these hoses. Secure with hose clamps. This will seal the coolant system and bypass the heater. The car will be perfectly safe to drive now until you replace the heater coil.

Bad heater coil or prong

Assuming you have all wires disconnected from heater and only 2 terminals remain near the bottom of the heater can. A reading of "open" has to be the heater. You should be able to see a break in the coil when you remove heater.

Most likely the heater is bad. It is located under the evaporator inside the freezer rear wall . Look for a long glass tube about half inch in diameter with a long coil of wire inside. That is the heater . It can be unplugged easily.
