Yes it only uses hot water. There should be a 3/8 fitting to hook up a water line. The drain hose connects to the air gap on the sink and when hooking up the power if there is no power cord be sure to hook up the black to black, white to white, and green to the green or bare wire.

Maytag Epic Z Washer F-20, Water Inlet replaced, still F-20 Error

Chris an F-20 is usually a clogged filter on duet washers. Did you go by the tech sheet in your machine? It gives the codes and remedys and is in a jacket behind the kickplate which you remove to get to the filter. You will need a quarter inch nutdriver to gain access.

I bought a new washer and just hooked it up to the old water hoses that had been working fine. When i went to turn on the washer it sounded like it would fill but no water every came in.

First you should always replace both flexible hoses .. and replace them every five years.

A few things to check right away.

DId you try all temps? There is a 50/50 chance you have mated the cold hose to the hot inlet and the hot hose to the cold inlet on the washing machine mixing valve. Most machines have a blue and red ring denoting which is which.

Some machines have plugs set inside the inlet valve to prevent debris from getting in until installation.. obviously if these were not removed first no water would make it into the tub.

Turn the water off..dissconnect the hoses.. (have a towel or bucket nearby).. inspect the water inlets for those shipping plugs.

Run some water into the bucket to determine which hose is hot.. and reconnect to the proper inlet (Red for hot and Blue for cold) and try again

Again..If you have not replaced those hoses in the past five years.. get some new ones!

Best of luck!

Water pouring out of cold water connection the hookup is only connected to the hot water because the steam hookup is suppose work for hot water.... So they say??????!!! Is there suppose to be another hose...

YES YOU NEED TO EITHER PURCHASE A SCREW ON PLUG FOR THE COLD SIDE OR HOOK UP A HOSE FROM A COLD WATER VALVE TO THE COLD SIDE OF YOUR INLET WATER VALVE ON THE WASHER (YOU SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN A HOSE WHEN YOU BOUGHT IT, IF NOT YOU CAN PURCHASE ONE AT YOUR LOCAL HARDWARE STORE OR APPLIANCE PARTS STORE , OR SEARS PARTS DIRECT. LET ME KNOW IF THIS WAS HELPFUL!

Hotpoint WDD960 Washing Machine - Hot and Cold water inlets. I set my machine up originally with the Y piece, but thought using the hot inlet would be more economical so I have fitted separate hoses. ...

Do you have the hoses on right. Coming from the water supply which you should have two cut offs, looking at them the left one would be the hot line and right cold. Make sure they are hooked up this way on washer and see if you get hot water. If they are hooked up right then either your hot side of the water inlet valve isn't opening or the control board isn't telling it to open.

Maytag performa washer hot/cold cycles reverse, hooked up correct

This sounds like a cold water supply problem that's usually caused by a problem at the water inlet valve. First, remove the water supply hoses and check the small screens inside the water inlet valve. Make sure they are not clogged with rust or debris. Next, check the solenoids using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty solenoid and the water inlet valve assy will need to be replaced. I will attach a photo for reference. Hope this helps and best wishes.

My washer won't fill up what is the problem?

Hot and cold tap water valves not turned on.

Bad water inlet valve.

Bad control or temperature selector switch.

The water level sensor is bad.

Or you could have only the cold water hose hooked up and selecting hot wash only. Or you have the hot hose hooked up only and selecting cold wash only. Try selecting a warm wash and see if you get cold or hot water only. If you do, you'll know which is missing.

Orientation of inlet pipes

I am not to sure if this answers your question but I think you are asking which way the hot and cold hoses connect to the wasing machine? if this is the case if you look on the back of the washing machine you will see stamped in the metel a H for hot connect the hot water inlet hose to this, If it is not marked, hook up the hot water hose to the washing machine and place the water temp selector to hot and turn machine on if hot water comes out you have the correct hose hooked up,if not then the cold water hose goes were you hooked up the hot water hose. hope this helps

Wash cycle water level

the water needed needs to just come up right under the door this is how much water they use cause they use a tumble wash to clean the clothes
low water preasure is a problem but also make sure both water inlets are being used (hot and cold) even if you dont have hot attach a y hose the machine needs both inlets in use
these machines use very low water usage but they still need a fill up point
