Sorry but that doesn't make much sense. If the correct RAM is fitted, there will be no issue. If you are using two chips and they are a different batch, maybe one is interleaved and the other not.

What is 3-3-2 beep tone meaning

System doeIf there is one DIMM in the system the memory row/bank may be disabled when there is a memory failure. The system will not boot because it has no memory to use. If the DIMM is replaced with one of the exact same type and size, then the system will continue not to boot. BIOS cannot tell when a DIMM has been replaced with one of the exact type and size, therefore BIOS believes it is still the bad DIMM and will not use it.

Here are two possible workarounds:

1. After replacing the defective DIMM, continue to reboot the system until you hear the "no memory" post beep sequence (3-3-3) during POST (no video display). After three (3) incomplete boots, a "062 three consecutive boot failure. Using default CMOS configuration caches are off" error will occur. At this point BIOS will go back to the default settings and begin to use the new DIMM. However, if you have disabled the 3 boot fail count (this setting may not be available in all servers) in Setup, then BIOS will not turn the DIMM row/bank back on.
-=OR=

2. Remove the DIMM. Power on the system until the "no memory" post beep sequence (3-3-3) is heard. The memory row/bank will now be marked as being empty. Power off the system and put a good DIMM back into the system. The memory DIMM row/bank is re-enabled and the system boots normally.

NOTE: If more than one DIMM (or more than one DIMM set) is installed in the server and one memory (or one memory set) row/bank is disabled due to a memory failure then, the user must go into setup and re-enable the row/bank after replacing the bad DIMM.

Set VirtualDubMod to Align Audio Frames across Interleaves for better sync

The default for the this program is Enable audio/video Interleaving with a 500ms pre-load in VirtualDubMod,this is the recommended value, it is not an offset this is done in the Audio Skew Correction the same is true for its older cousin VirtualDub.

aef8663.jpg

This will set the Audio Frames to "Split across interleaves" which can cause the audio to go out of sync with the video even if the MP3 is set to CBR a problem most known with VBR audio on standalone DVD players that that DivX capabilities. This is one reason why the preferences are set to warn you about VBR audio this is a screendump from VirtualDub

cd07186.jpg

It is said that if the AVI has Audio frames that are "Aligned on interleaves" it will always remain in sync even with a VBR MP3 audio track.

If you experience VBR MP3 problems you can turn off the MP3 ACM and use VirtualDubMod MP3 encoder under here the default preload for AVI audio is set to 500ms as shown this is the same in VirtualDub.

2f295f9.jpg

If you are going to re-encode the MP3 audio to AC3 the audio gets split across interleaves with the default values MP3 seems to Align with Interleaves itself .

However if you Enable Frame Mode the resulting AC3 will get "Aligned Across Interleaves" (you can't do this tweak in VirtualDub by Avery Lee)

Options -> Preferences -> VDubMod -> AVI -> Enable Frame mode.

If you are OK with this then you can re-encode the VBR audio MP3 to CBR dolby digital AC3 audio "Aligned Across Interleaves" and know that your audio frames will be aligned with the Interleaves and AV sync problems on your DivX enabled DVD players.are over.

Whats max RDRAM I can install on A49507-903 ?

2GB.

The Intel Desktop Board D850GB has four RIMM sockets (two sockets for each channel) and supports the following memory features:

Single- or double-sided RIMM configurations
Maximum of 32 Direct Rambus devices per channel
Total system memory configurations from 128 MB (minimum) to 2 GB (maximum) utilizing 128/144 Mbit or 256/288 Mbit technology PC600 or PC800 compliant RDRAM
Serial Presence Detect (SPD) based configuration for optimal memory operation
Suspend to RAM support
ECC and non-ECC support

When installing memory, note the following:

The four RIMM sockets are grouped into two banks:
Bank 0 (labeled on the board as RIMM1 and RIMM2)
Bank 1 (labeled on the board as RIMM3 and RIMM4)
Bank 0 must be populated first ensuring that the RDRAM installed in RIMM1 and RIMM2 is identical in speed, size, and density. For example, the minimum system configuration would use two 64 MB RIMM modules of PC600 or PC800 RDRAM.
If the desired memory configuration has been achieved by populating Bank 0, then Bank 1 should be filled with two Continuity RIMMs.
If memory is to be installed in Bank 1, the RIMM modules installed in RIMM3 and RIMM4 must be identical in size and density to each other, and match the speed of the RIMM modules in Bank 0. The RIMM modules do not, however, need to match those in Bank 0 in size and density. For example, if Bank 0 has two 128 MB RIMMs of PC800 RDRAM, Bank 1 would require PC800 RDRAM also, however, any other supported RIMM modules such as 64 MB or 192 MB could be used.
If ECC functionality is required, all installed RIMM modules must be ECC-compliant.

Is it a good idea to remove interleaving?

Simply put - no.

Interleaving is a way that the technology can "auto correct" or "auto detect" errors that occur. While interleaving may increase latency, errors that it can catch outweigh the result of removing interleaving.

Memory limit for my dell E139761 motherboard

Although the motherboard ultimately decides how much memory your system can handle, Dell does not list the specifications of motherboards. You need the model number of the computer, and if the motherboard is not the original one that came in the computer when it was built by Dell they won't know either.

You can go to dell.com and put in your service tag to see the specifications yourself. If you post the computer model number or service tag here that's what someone else will do anyway.

Have a hp DC7100 minitower pc with 4 dimms slots currently have 2 512's installed and thougth maybe adding an additional 2gig dim basically filling 3 of the dimm slots is this configuration valid

■The system will operate in single channel mode if the DIMM sockets are populated in one channel only.
■The system will operate in dual channel Asymmetric mode if the total memory capacity of the DIMMs in Channel A is not equal to the total memory capacity of the DIMMs in Channel B.
■The system will operate in a higher-performing dual channel Interleaved mode if the total memory capacity of the DIMMs in Channel A is equal to the total memory capacity of the DIMMs in Channel B. However, the technology and device width can vary between the channels, For example, if Channel A is populated with two 256 MB DIMMS and Channel B is populated with one 512 MB DIMM, the system will operate in Interleaved mode.

Asus M2N-MX Motherboard 4gb Ram wont work

I had the same problem and ASUS tech support was of no help. I did however find the culpret in the BIOS setup. Go to Advanced, Chipset, NorthBridge Chipset, and Memory Configuration. Set the Bank Interleaving to Disabled and save the settings. Check these settings also while you are there:
Channel Interleaving = Auto
Enable clock to all DIMMS = Disabled
Memory Tristate = Disabled
Memory Hole = Enabled
Unganged Mode = Enabled
Power Down Enable = Enabled
Power Down Mode = Channel
