Question about Samsung SGH-t629 Cellular Phone
I bought an USB data cable to connect my phone to my computer and nothing happens?
Is it that the USB cable is damage or do I need to change some settings on my phone or computer to make it work?
Ok, gonna try to find solution for all questions here so far. 1: You plug your cord into the same port on phone that your head phones and charger go into...you have to buy a cord that fits your phone on one end and has usb on other end. I found a cord for 11 cents plus $5 shipping (lol). 2: I think if you have samsung pc studio 3 (I got a free download at samsung site) you can install the most recent update and it should recognize your phone then...I have same software and same phone and it recognizes it. (however, make sure your phone is NOT connected to comp. when you install the software) Once installed, the bottom right of the window for studio 3 should say "not connected" then once you plug your cord into phone and usb port it should change to say "sgh-t629 connected". The phone has so little internal memory though that if you want any amount of music you need to get a memory card. Hope this helps.

I bought a adapter cord for my t629 that fits the phone and has USB on other end...then I downloaded the Samsung PC Studio 3 software/driver for free off of Samsung's website (downloads)...the only problem then is my phone only had enough memory to fit 4 songs!! I would recommend the memory cards but dont go over 1Gb or your phone may not recognize all of the data you added to it. I havnt tried it yet but I'm hoping that I can put in a memory card and then use the PC Studio to add more music files...I've only used RealPlayer to do it so far but I forgot to format my disk first and the music went on as individual clips and not into my "music file"...and make sure your music is in MP3 format and under 128 kpbs bitrate.
