SOURCE: 12 Volt Cigarette Lighter / Accessory dead

Most likely just replace it. You could pull the fuse and then use a small screwdriver to try and pull the tabs inside the receiver in toward the center a little. It could be that repeated insertion and extraction of the lighter or accessory plug has bent them outward enough that they're not making sufficient contact to power what you plug in. If that doesn't work, replace it and then put the fuse back in.

SOURCE: fuse number 25 for radio no 12 volts

And key is on when tested? With key on, power should be available at the fuse terminal. If not, something may be wrong in the power distribution block under the hood, maybe a fuse there is out.

Quick fuse check without pulling them out: You need a testlight. Turn key on. Probe the little indents on both ends of top of fuse. A bad fuse will only light the testlight on one side. A good fuse will light on both sides of the fuse. On those circuits that are hot at all times (like the brake circuit), it is the same: bad fuse-only one side lights up. Good fuse-both sides of fuse will light up the testlight.

Hi,
Did you verify if it has a main fuse for the ignition?...Link attached shows the fuses listed in the Owner's Manual and there's a IGNITION fuse that may be suspect...or some other 'main EGI/ECU' type fuse.

I NEED A POWER SUPPLY AND CORD FOR A MAGNAVOX 15' LCD TV MODEL NUMBER 15MF400T/37 POWER RATING 12V 3.5A

Either you can get this universal type available inthe market in any electronic spares store or it is easy too make one by yourself if you are familiar with electroncis.
All you need is a mains transformer with secondary voltage at 12 volt and 4 amps capacity, use a bridge rectifier , good storage capacitor of about 4700mfd/25 volts and if possible use a 12 V regulator so that the power is smooth, regulated and protected..

Can I use a 5 amp 240v AC domestic fuse to replace 5 amp 12v fuse

A fuse is rated for it's current carrying capacity so yes you can use a 240 volt 5 Amp fuse in a 12 Volt circuit.
The Voltage is given to indicate the insulation of the fuse, i.e. if you used a 12 volt fuse in a 240 Volt circuit it may arc and therefore is not suitable. You can always use a fuse with a higher voltage rating in a lower voltage rated circuit.
A 5 Amp fuse will carry 5 Amps indefinately and will only blow at 2 or three times it's rated current.

From my experience most people find out their Convergance IC's were the cause and burned out again because of faulty 6.8 ohm resistors or just plain failure to replace the the resistors when they replaced the IC's. sadly if your planning on spending more money I suggest New IC's use 150's instead of 120's ALSO, make very sure you've changed out all 12 resistors and make sure they are metal film resistors.

Great reference link that I posted pictures on, check out page 3

Where I got my parts that worked:
Suburban Electronics

Manual Library you should find all you need here:

What you possibly need:
(2) STK392-120 OR STK392-150 IC
chips
(12) 6.8 Ohm Metal Film resistors
15 watt pencil solder pencil, DO NOT use a high watt iron you will fry the surface mounted item.
good leaded solder, and flux

BTW, if you give up on the TV I'm still looking for a Convergance circuit board yours sounds fried but I would mind trying it out its better then nothing, and ther are a few other people on here looking for parts... so you never know...

Actually I have this TV and you need 2 Convergence IC's STK392-120's (120's and 150's will work) of course order 2 of the same type I'm using replacement 150's they allow for a little higher heat and were cheaper ALSO you need to replace the 12 resistors with 6.8 ohm metal film resistors, make sure they are metal film! don’t skimp out here I did and then they blew and fried my IC's and I had to replace everything again!

set of star screw drivers

BTW if you don’t plan on trying this and are going to throw out the TV, I still need a IC convergence board for a 51MP392H/17 TV I'm fixing, I'm willing to pay S/H and buy your IC board that’s not been tampered with. Edwinkraus@hotmail.com

LCD tv issue

at error code is 12 and it is your 12-volt supply. Measure from the inverter to the power supply for 24 volts pins 1,2 and 3. If you don't have the 24 volts disconnect the inverters from the power supply and see if the volts come up. If the 24 volts come up replace the inverters. If the 24 volts are still not there replace the power supply. The volts have to be steady and not going up and down if they are replace the power supply.
But if the 24 volts are there with the inverters connected 1M03 pin 3 for 3.2 volts. If the 3.2 volts are not there replace the small signal board. The only way to get a manual is to find it on line or call the manufacture.

you need to check the primary input ac connection e.g fuse and then measure if you have 330 volts across the filtering capacitor..if this is ok or the fuse blows then disconnect ac-line and check pwer supply eg smps swiching transistor...probably gone to heaven..and replace it and optcoupler..i.e. refere to eventual kit from philips they have repair kits for your tv!...it may be a "standard" problem..if you can get a copy of servicing the smps...in technical manual for your tv it is best...ron
