The seconds hand on my invicta subaqua reserve does not move. It only moves when I start the chronograph. I've read the instructions time after time and can not get it to work.

The hand that moves when the chronograph is working is not a second hand. It will rest at the 12 o'clock position unless you are using the stopwatch. If your Invicta has a second hand, it is one of those small dials on the watch face.

I just bought an Emporio Armani AR2020 wrist watch and when I received it, the hands on the watch wouldn't move. Do I need a battery for the watch? Is it broken?

That specific watch has a quartz movement, and it does not have a sweeping hand that moves to count the seconds. If the hour and minute hands are not moving there is a possibiliy that the battery has died. If after the battery is replaced and the hands still do not move then it's an issue with the quartz movement.

Swatch diaphane second hand stuck

Hello, a week ago the small second hand (not long chrono second hand) got stucked and my irony swatch just stop moving. Although the chronometer could be running if started... The small hand just didn't move.
I tried different tricks, like removing battery, pull out main wheel and use chrono buttons to reset arms. Etc.
Today I noticed that when turning the wheel backwards a couple of times (one or two hours back) the little hand moved one second back... Pushing wheel back to On possition made the small hand move forward one second and get stucked again.
Then I did this procedure a couple of times, at some point I turned the wheel back for a while (may be 5 full turns) and noticed the small hand moved more than one second (5, 10, 15 seconds backward)... when I noticed it was moving freely I pushed wheel to on position and noticed the small second hand was running normal.. I hope it works for some of you. Greettings from Canada

I have a Schatz mariner ships bell clock (from 1955-60). Am not sure how to set it, especially for the bell strike...1 website says to move the hour hand, another says NEVER touch hour hand. Can anyone...

My Father severed his apprentiship at Augusta Schatz in Triberg. Never move the hour hand only move the minute hand, I know it is lond winded but does not un seat the hour hand fixing. But most important NEVER move the hand backwards ONLY forwards as this goes against the workings of the movement.
