If it's still under warrenty, send it in. If not, then you are going to have to be the doctor. Here is a youtube vid on how to open the PS3 up. (Remember) There is a difference between the "FATS" and the "SLIMS" and "SUPER SLIMS" Basicaly, what you are going to do is ensure all connections are still made. Including the HDD.

Dropped PS3 and it won't power on

If you dropped it and it won't power up now check the power button ribbon cables. If they are seated properly then you damaged the motherboard and you will need to replace the ps3. Don't drop them as they are fragile.

My ps3 was dropped by accident and now it wont display anything. The green light comes on but the blue one doesnt. I also noticed that the controllers wont charge anymore nor will they turn the system on...

Anytime something electronic is dropped its usually a cracked board that is the result which is why your ps3 now is acting crazy doing weird things.

I personally think its a goner cause the board probably has hairline cracks in it and that will affect how the system runs.

PS3 does not work in 1080p

My ps3 didn't like a HDMI connection very much. I tried the Composite input cables and they worked great with no screen flicker.

Iam have problems with my ps3 i dropped it and now it dosent want to turn on the green light comes on for a second goes to orange then to red wat do you think could be wrong with it

You broke it when you dropped it. It's a delicate piece of machinery and isn't meant to be dropped. Sorry to break it to you, but your PS3 is basically a rock now.

get the hard drive replaced. it has the system on it and when your mom dropped the ps3 it jolted the hard drive and likely killed it.

send it back to sony. it will cost you quite a bit to do that.

ps. the board is also probably cracked and may have other damages that cannot be seen.

bottom line: DO NOT DROP ANY TYPE OF ELECTRONICS. THEY DON'T LIKE IT!!! :)
