SOURCE: making clicking noise when turned on..folding

I had the same problem. It was the fuser gear grinding against the other gears that was making the noise, and it was dirt that was hanging up the fuser rollers, that was causing the problem. I took apart the fuser unit, cleaned the rollers, greased it up and problem went away.

Battery is being drained by something electrical

The clicking noise is a depleted battery (if the solenoid is integrated into the starter) I had a similar challenge with my 20 year old Honda, the battery terminals had expanded over time due to overtightening and no longer connected fully if you can find battery terminal sleeves check link below http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-batteries/battery/other-batteries/other-car-batteries/?412775000&0&cc5_1026 these are ideal if not I used heavy duty tin foil that I folded to the correct shape and thickness. I am also assuming the battery is fully functional and in good working order.

My 2nd hand Quinny makes an awful crack sound when I fold it down and its stiff. Any idea what this could be?

Hi

This indicates it is not fully disengaged before fold is attempted. The clicking noise is to tell you that the fold should not be continued as it is forcing the pushchair and may lead to damage. Ensure the button is fully depressed and the other button is fully pulled forward before attempting to fold. If noise still audible the chassis needs inspection by engineers.

If you're in the UK please contact customer care on 01284 413 141 Mon-Thur 8.30-6.30 / Fri 8.30-4.30 (Excluding Bank Holidays) to arrange chargeable inspection / repair work required.

If you're not in the UK please visit www.quinny.com and select the country you're in, then select "Contact Us" tab for enquiry to go through to customer care team for your country.

Please note we do always advise that oil based lubricants are not used on any Quinny product. Oil based lubricant will leave a sticky residue on the chassis which will attract dirt and debris to stick and cause additional issues. Always use furniture polish or dry Teflon spray (found in the laundry aisle of larger supermarkets) and a soft cloth to clean the chassis.

A scraper/s have either;

1) Popped out of their location..
2) Damaged your upper heat roller/lower hear roller and the click is where its steadily wearing into the surface of the roller.

You can do the following;

Remove the power cable.
Open the covers so you can access the fuser (the hot part)
Look inside, you will be looking for about 4-6 scrapers, they should look like a birds beak (kinda)
See if you can remove the one causing the problem, if not, get the copier to jam up then look in there, the one causing the issue should stand out as it will be causing the jam.

All in all you will have to remove/or re locate the scraper into its original position.
