Hi all,
The problem is to do with the Firmware you loaded onto the player, it may be a buggy version.
The way to get around the (always connected to USB) is to either short out pin 1 & pin 4 on the players mini USB port or cut the USB lead & touch the black & red wires together for a few seconds & then that will allow the player to come out of USB mode & then boot into the iRiver firmware, then all you need to do is re connect the player back to your pc & re download the Hex file & use the players menu to update the firmwate again.
Then you player should be fine.
Regards Tom.

Charging system

If your phone won't charge via your computer using a USB cable or via your pickup via a car charger, will it charger via the regular travel charger (i.e., plugged into the wall)? If it won't charge that way either, then the issue is with the connection or with the battery. If you replace the battery and it still doesn't charge, then the problem is with the connection. If this is the issue, then I would suggest replacing your phone, especially if it is 2 years or older. If it is a new phone and under 12 months old, then I would suggest getting a warranty replacement from your provider. If it is older, and you don't want to replace it, then try gettin a new battery, however, if it still doesn't charge, then like I said previously, it is the connection and it would be less expensive to replace the phone then to repair the connection. Hope this helps and let me know if you need any additional information.

Good Luck
