If I understand your issue, you press play and the player does not recognize the disc, the optical pickup may be defective. I suggest you contact an Authorized Adcom Service Center. For further questions, contact Adcom directly.

Dan, in this case the sticker has been removed (or was necer there in the first place) . Unusual.
thanks for your post and will try a KSS 240.
Good machine and I am looking foward to spinning discs with it again.

For $350 you should be able to buy 5 new units- at least.
