My 25942xx3 cordless phone and answering machine was working fine until FIOS installed their answering service. I wasn't happy with Fios voice mail so I cancelled that part of the service. Now, when someone wants to leave a message they hear a fax sound. My fax machine is 30 feet from the answering machine and on a second line into the house.
