Hello, Mi name is Ariel and I live in Argentina. A short time ago I started recording with a m- audio fast track ultra 8rand I'm having 2 problems I would appreciate if you can help me solve:Two of the channels have constant cracking/fuzzing sounds (no matter if it isconnected or not to any device)and while I turn the volume up the strange sounds get stronger. The only way I can stop these sounds is by muting them from the software options.I'm also unable to use the Earphones Output #2.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

SOURCE: Sound is not recorded

Make sure that the your audio wiring is correct. The L&R audio cables from your VCR, etc should be connected to the red and white RCA jacks on the capture card cable. The small 3.5 mm phone jack from the capture card cable must then be plugged into your PC's line-in jack - usually blue. Then in the PVR application, select line-in as your source. This is necessary because the capture card only processes video. The audio signal is passed through to your PC.

Taking recordings from mixing desk

As the Fastrack can only receive one audio signal at a time you would have to record each track seperatly into Pro Tools.

I'm guessing your mixer is a multitrack recorder.

Solo track 1 on the multitracker and playback from there into the Fastrack, with track 1 on Pro Tools set to record. Repeat this for each or your tracks on the multitracker.

When you've finished you'll need to align all the tracks in Pro Tools so they all playback in time with each other.
