Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV

Mitsibushi WD-52525 almost horizontal red lines that appear to be streaming from top to bottom on the screen are driving me this going to be one of those cap replacement issues that i have been reading about on this site ...?

Yes if the lines are on all inputs and also on the menu of the set itself then you may want to test your 5 volt power supply on plug j19 of the lite engine.this does require removing the back of set along w/the back shield,about 30 screws.good luck joe tv

Wd-52525 vertical lines on screen

Your reference to across the screen to me means horizontal. Check the bias on the video drive, there may be a potentiometer on the board to adjust. The new parts may have picked up the drive, turn it down if possible.

Green horizontal lines on screen no picture

The green CRT's (color picutre tube or color wheel, or ballast) will need to be tested for replacement.
It is quite common with these tv's

You will need an ohmmeter and or voltmeter and test each component for currency and accuracy

do the lines go from top to bottom, and are they about 1 inch apart? or do they move diagonally across the screen?

Mitsubishi WD-52525 with green horizontal lines

You need to replace the capacitors on the FMT PWB this is a common problem with the V26 chassis which is what your model number is. They have some bad capacitors that need to be Changed. There is a repair Kit available for the FMT repair.Let me know if you would like the link for the repair Kit. Please respond to this same post if you do want the repair kit which does involve soldering.

sounds like bad capacitors on the FMT board need replacing that is a common fault with the first generation DLPs There are 3 bad capacitors.

Do self diagnosis test by pressing input and menu on set at the same time for 5 sec. It should blink a 2 digit code. Remember code and let me know.
