You could possibly find them in device manager. Just right click on my computer and hit properties. Then click the tab that says Hardware, then click on device manager. Scroll down and you should see usb ports and it might show you the id numbers.

When you turn it on, does it respond? Do any lights lit up? Do you have a known good ac adapter to try it with? Or is the ac adapter you are using lits up and/or powering on a different computer?Try to test both to check the functionality of the ac adapter and the port. If ac adapter will work with a different pc, then possibly the port is damaged. You may need to replace the motherboard. If still it wont turn on, then you may just need to replace the ac adapter.

When I had this problem it turned out to be my video card (unless my p/s is on its way out and just won't power the video card anymore). Removed the video card and switched to onboard VGA and it boots fine. Had no Win7 Aero though so I went into bios and set it to onboard VGA and UMA 256 instead of Auto and my Aero is back as well.
