Clutch is gone out. Cable may be broken. Clutch can be worn and need to adjust the clutch cable to get it in the right spot to go in gear. Or you may need to add gear oil that your bike requires for the gear box. If none of that helps you may need to rebuild the gear box.

Slider gear replace broken gear

You will need to determine the manufacturer of the slide mechanism, the diameter and number of teeth on the gear. Once you have all of the information you should be able to order a replacement gear from your local RV parts department. To replace you will need the unit on level, solid ground. Place a good jack close to where the gear is located. The purpose of the jack is to support the slide while the gear is out. Do not try raise the slide more than is necessary to remove the gear. Remove the bolts holding the gear and remove the gear pack. You may need to use pry bars to assist. If so, use a block of wood against the floor of the slide to pry against. Reverse the procedure to install new gear and ensure the timing of the slide mechanism does not jump.

My 87 ford Turbo Coupe has a difficult time going into 3rd all other gears are fine

sounds like its bulk rings in gear box, they spin the gears ready as u change gear when they wear the gears are not spun enough to select u probably need to over hall gear box , to help u change gear for now double d clutch, whats this as u want to change gear push clutch down move out gear release.. clutch pushdown again put in to gear use this with each gear un need to change what this does is spin gear ready for u as if bulk ring had done it for u if u are good u can just change gear but have to b good for this

hi it sounds like you iver need oil in the gear box or you need the bands ajusted in the gear box

Transmission stuck in park,tried wrench directly on linkage at transmission, would not move.

Possible failure of the linkages, possible failure of the gear notches within the gear box assembly.
This need a closer look from the gear movement levers to the gear box. However if the gear box links are tight then the gear box needs an overhauling.

Intermediate gear and armature gear stripped on Milwaukee 6082. Is the armature gear replaceable? How do I remove both gears? How do I remove armature from motor housing?

No the armature gear is made as part of it. the intermediate gear is replaceable but you need a press. to remove the armature first unplug tool and remove brushes, then remove the 4 screws that hold the gear housing to the motor housing and pull out. the intermediate gear is pressed onto the shaft.. Changing gears very stiff

try 1 0f these solutions giving the cars age and not much discription.
1 check the level of your gear box oil

2 change the gear box oil or if automatic change the fluid for the transmision.( since you say changeing gears i take it that it's manual gear box.

3 if manual the gears need over hauled giving the age of your car.

4 your clutch cable needs adjusted due ware on the clutch or if hydraulic the clutch system needs bleed with new fluid.

chances are there is a defective drive gear inside you need a tech to resolve this prob.

see if the gear tooth are smaller than before, if there is any sign of powderized palstic all around then gears need to be changed no amount of lubrication can corrrect this.

also check the orientation of gears, for any sign of mechanical binding this can also cause grinding and unusual sound
