L have a Thermadoor model MBBS/01 microwave oven, serial number FD8503 001064 March 2005. We recently had a power outage but we have a generator. Since that time when I set the clock the time is not accurate and when I heat food it gets overcooked. Do you have any idea what the problem could be? Thank you.

Oh dear, I hope the magnetron still works. That plate you describe is called the Waveguide Cover. This cover must be kept clean otherwise the food particles will carbonize and cause exactly what you have described.
Contact the manufacturers web site for a supplier in your area or look on ebay, espares.co.uk depending on your location.
When it has been changed, I hope the magnetron/aerial is OK.

SOURCE: mbbs 01 thermador micro oven: timer counts down, lights go on, but no heat, no fan and turntable does not turn. is it a fuse?

Key clue is table does not move---All microwaves with a table have a lever switch that is engaged when door closes--only can get at from inside the unit----it prevents the unit from operation if door not closed.

What happens from closing door a lot is the switch with a lever arm can come loose or even if snapped into a plastic holder break out of the holder.

IF this it is not too expensive a repair.

I just successfully replaced a Thermadore MBBS microwave with an LG Model #LMC2075ST (Lowes stock number 728040). It was close to a perfect fit into the Thermadore trim kit and attachments, and very easy install. The LG was only $169 on sale at Lowes, and is, by far, a superior microwave to the old MBBS model.

I need to replace the waveguide in my Thermador MBBS / 01 microwave.

Waveguide "cover"I presume? The waveguide is part of the chassis and cannot be replaced.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

Microwave appears to work fine but will not heat at all.

Sounds like the thermal protector on the mag tube quit. It may have gotten too hot and opened up. That is the lesser of all the evils that can happen to a Microwave.
