hmmm... is this a real gardening question, or am I about to do your math homework? Your dimensions amount to 5.5 cubic feet or 0.2 cubic yards.

If you're planning to buy bagged topsoil, it's hard to say the number of bags because they are sold by weight, which depends on moisture content. You could start with about six 50 pound bags and see how it looks.

you have to many numbers there
If you are saying 12'x15'x what deep 3 inches or 3' ?
12'x15'=180 sq ft x3' = 540 cubic feet or 20 cubic yards
x3inches= 40 cubic feet

### I need to know how many cubic feet of mulch to put in my flower bed?

How big is your flower bed in square feet? How deep do you want the mulch to be? We multiply the two (in feet) to get the number of cubic feet.

For example, if your flowed bed is 10' by 15' and you want you much to be 6" deep, we would calculate the area of your flower bed as 10 x 15 or 150 square feet. We have to convert the mulch depth from 6' to 1/2' or 0.5'. We multiply the 150 square feet by 1/2' and get 75 cubic feet.

Good luck.
