2008 bmw 750li the trunk not open

There is a valet switch in he center console and make sure it is switched on so it will open. Does it open from trunk switch on the trunk or from the manual key cylindr in the trunk deck lid? If it does not work from the manual key release on the deck lid then the lock in the trunk is faulty and will need to be drilled and removed unless your a lucky one and have the ski boot opening in the center of backseat fold down arm rest ? If there is a opening then use a hanger and grab the emergency release handle at the right rear of the trunk deck lid underneath, it is glow in the dark colored.

Tip

Toyota Trunk Lid Mysteriously Opens!

I am submitting this tip about Toyota trunk lids. I have owned three Corollas in consistent sequence. My current model is a 2010 Corolla LE.
What really surprised me was being parked somewhere and being away from the vehicle for anywhere from 3 minutes to a few hours, only to discover that when I returned to the vehicle, the trunk lid was wide open!
I was able to find a resolution that I can live with. The "culprit" is the remote key device, which gets activated (unknown to the owner at the time of opening) if the owner and the vehicle are close enough in proximity to open the lid. When the remote is in one's pocket, the trunk lid can easily open and the owner may have no knowledge of it at all. Imagine going shopping and the entire trunk is full of items (groceries, department store items etc) and coming back to your vehicle and finding that everything is GONE! This happened to me at least three or four times a week (Thank God no one took anything..!!!)
The dealer told me to just turn the lock cylinder with the key so that the lock cylinder has the key hole orientated to a "horizontal position". They told me that the lid wouldn't open with the lock cylinder in that position. NOT TRUE!!! This feature only prevents the internal trunk release inside the vehicle from having the ability to open the trunk lid. To my surprise, the lock cylinder can be orientated to the horizontal position and the remote device can STILL open the trunk lid. Since I work at a place where high security is required 24/7, I HAD to come up with a solution that would put a confirmed kill on the problem.
I reached up inside the trunk lid door and disconnected the electrical connector from the automatic lock release. NOW, the trunk lid can ONLY be opened with the key MANUALLY!

I'm sure every Toyota owner has or eventually will face this issue and hopefully, all of the contents of the trunk are still intact. I decided to never give it anymore chances. It is only a very minor inconvenience to use the key to unlock the trunk lid. I can STILL disable the trunk lid release cable by turning the lock cylinder horizontal when I am parked anywhere in public.

I certainly hope this provides everyone with a simple fix!

My trunk will not open on my wife's 2001 slk Mercedes. It's not locked. I think something is stuck in the lock. Can you help me?

your can check is it something stuck in the lock, first operate your roof either way, if you are going to open the roof as a first action boot lid will open to backward, let boot lid fully open and stop operating the roof, ignition off and have a look if something stuck you can see, if you are going to close the roof let close the roof and before close the boot lid stop operating roof switch, otherwise faulty boot lid lock, if faulty lock but you can try by mettle key blade which is in your electronic key, first take out mettle key from electronic key then insert mettle key in to the key hole in boot lid turn fully left and open boot if not work turn fully left and push it in, is this information helped you?
